Ok, so now we have done a couple of videos (on Instagram and Facebook) and it seems ok, or at least not as terrible as I thought it was going to be. We are learning as we go (by “we” I mean me). I am feeling quite confident that I might be the only one not really sure how to do this stuff. Maybe because of my age? LOL!
Anyway, as we move forward, we discussed why we are doing all of this is the first place. There are several answers to this question. First, it is because we are very passionate about providing the highest quality of services to families in our community and we realized that we don’t have to be in the family’s home or a community setting to give good tips. We can use social media! Second is because we find ourselves really enjoying some of the tips that others give and we wanted to be able to “give back.” Afterall, what therapist doesn’t like to exchange therapy ideas? Third, we thought this would be a great way for our therapists (Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech & Language Pathologists) and Special Instructors (Teachers, Vision Specialists, Hearing Specialists and Behavioral Specialists) to ‘market’ themselves and their specialties. I’m sure that there are many other benefits, but this is what we came up with for the moment. Stay tuned! 😊
