Whoever said this clearly does not know about Early Intervention for children birth to 3 years old! Our services are provided at NO COST to our families. Yes, you read that right! Let me say it (or type it) again. Early Intervention (EI) services are provided at NO COST to our families. NO. COST. Period. I know you are thinking, well, there must be some catch, right? I mean there is always a catch somewhere in the fine print. They (whoever ‘they’ are) hook you by saying you don’t have to give them any money for the service, then in the fine print somewhere, it says the service will only be provided for 30 days then, if you want to continue, you will be charged a monthly fee. Oh, and that your credit card will automatically be charged unless you cancel your subscription. That is the way it usually goes, right? Well, I am here to tell you that, in this case, you REALLY will not be charged for EI services!!! Not for the evaluation nor for any follow-up therapy if your child qualifies!
Let me take it one step further. EI services may be provided in your home, at the babysitter’s home, a daycare center, nursery school, even a playgroup or wherever your child is spending the day. Yup, that is correct! We will provide specialized services in a variety of settings that are comfortable and typical for your child/family. Wait, what?? How can this be true??? Well, in EI, our Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Special Instructors (teachers), and Hearing and Vision Specialists support caregivers with strategies they can easily embed in typical routines and activities throughout a regular day. EI is intended to help families with children who may have a developmental delay or disability. Since learning occurs in all daily routines, our therapists partner with caregivers by finding strategies to enhance and build upon everyday learning, to help children meet their maximum potential.
WOW!! So now you may be thinking “How do I know if my child has a developmental delay?” Simple. Just contact us and we will help you get on the right path to determine your child’s eligibility. Oh, and you do NOT need to have a referral from the doctor, either. Remember, children learn the most and the fastest between birth and 5 years old. (That is an entire blog all by itself.) So, do not wait! Contact us today so our specialists can support you and your child. 💜
